I’m not going to give the plot away, but this short story focuses on a blacksmith with magical powers named Ferrin, and his sister Myrriah. She is summoned away from their home after which he is taken by the Black Guard due to his powers. The storyline focuses on his captivity.
Michael Wisehart’s writing is excellent! The characters are well developed and the settings make you feel like you’re part of the action. I’m definitely going to continue the Aldoran series, beginning with The White Tower.
