Here is the new cover for Banished, the prequel story to the Street Rats of Aramoor series.
I’m working with a new cover artist for this series. I knew I wanted to go in a different direction than what my cover design was for the Aldoran Chronicles. I wanted to be able to give the readers a visual glimpse into some of the locations in the books. I am also working with my artist to build full poster designs for each of these covers that reveal even more than what you see here. Those will be coming soon.

Hi Michael,
I absolutely loved the Banished (it was one of my first five star reads in quite a while) and am part way through the White Tower as we speak. Apologies if I missed this (I listen to the audio versions so flipping back to check isn’t exactly easy), but can you tell me roughly how much time has elapsed between the Street Rats of Aramoor and the White Tower? How old is Ayrion in the White Tower?
Thanks for the great books – it’s been a while since I had this much fun with an epic fantasy series :-).
Hi Kim,
So great to hear you are enjoying the story. The Street Rats series takes place roughly 20 years prior to The White Tower. The audiobook for the Street Rats consists of both Banished and Hurricane (the first two books in the Street Rats of Aramoor series). My publisher opted to combine the two books into one audiobook.
Are you listening to The White Tower or reading it? The reason I ask is that I just spent the last 7 months of last year with a team of editors re-writing the entire book. So the ebook and paperback are the updated 2nd edition, but the audiobook is still the old 1st edition. My audio publisher has scheduled my narrator, Tim Gerard Reynolds, to re-record The White Tower in March. Most of the storyline from the 1st edition is still consistent in the second, but their have been some changes. Also the writing, character development and interactions are more consistent in the second.
I didn’t have the budget when I first published The White Tower to hire a full editing team. The most I was able to give it was a simple copy edit where they looked for typos. If you read books as well, I would strongly encourage you to read the book as opposed to listening to it. If you purchased The White Tower audiobook, when the new updated 2nd edition is out, it should be a free update for you. If you hit the “Like” button on my author Facebook page, I can keep you informed when the new audiobooks are coming. Here’s my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/MichaelWisehart.author/
Please don’t forget to leave a quick review of the books on audible or amazon…wherever you purchased. Those are a huge help!
Have a great New Years!
Hey dude, do you still exist? It’s been over a year now
I’m still here. 🙂
I don’t do much in the way of blogging. I encourage readers to like me on Facebook, which is where I do most my updates. It’s much easier. Here’s my facebook page if interested, https://www.facebook.com/MichaelWisehart.author/
I spent the better part of this year with a team of editors re-working Banished, Hurricane, and The White Tower. At present, I’m busy working on the second book in the Aldoran Chronicles series, Plague of Shadows.
All the best,
