I bought the offer of three books snd the prequel on one lone review that said this series did not go down the sex and cheap thrills alley. It is hard to weed through for good fantasy!! Characters are not op, not all knowing . The action is hard and the friendships strong. I am just at the end of the white tower and excited for the next books.

1. This is my first book review. This series is so, so good; I'm obsessed. I've read probably a thousand books - some I liked, some I loved, some I considered using as kindling. (I only mention these things so hopefully you get a sense of just of sincere I'm being.)
2. There's a character for everyone. Everyone has a character they can connect with or see at least a little of themselves in.
3. When re-reading, it is so well-written that parts of the books still make me laugh, still get my heart pumping, still have me wanting to read faster just so I know how it end. I KNOW HOW IT ENDS and it still makes me respond viscerally.
4. This is literally the only - read that again - books I've re-read. When a new book comes out...I re-read the series and I still get just a little more out of it. I read it differently and I love it just a little more.
PS: I will just conitnue to hope that one day Michael will come out with a collector's edition bundle with both the The Aldoran Chronicles and the Street Rats of Aramoor.
Michael, thank you for this gift. Know that I am 100% recommending this series to anyone who asks (and some that don't).

At first I was not sure about this book but I was soon burning through the pages. Good character development and I am excited to continue this series.
