Michael Wisehart is his own author. He is not like anyone else, nor should he be…he needed to blaze his own trail, and he has done so. As he is unique, so are his characters, and so is his story. You just have to read it, all of it lol! It’s an addiction get used to it, thank you sir, for your awesome work!

This book series was recommended to me because of my likes. However, I stayed because the journey the author leads you on kept me on the edge of my seat I definitely enjoyed reading it and I look forward to more as he progresses.

I am deep into my third series by Michael Wisehart, and having such a hard time putting it down. From colourful characters, endless action, and compelling intrigue, his books absolutely draw me in every time. I would have to say that him and Guy Gavriel Kay are my absolute favorite authors now, with memorable books that are such a joy to read.

I met Ferrin in the Aldoran Chronicles Prequel. I connected with him from the first page (He had a really great writer). I acquired a thirst for words reading Shackled. Now four books later, and the series that predates the White Tower, I consider myself quenched and thirsty at the same time. The dialog seems as though Mr Wisehart saw the video in his mind, and wrote the words. Reading is not the same Anymore.

Michael Wisehart is an exceptional storyteller. Each of his story series has transported me into different worlds wherein I became a part of the story. Michael Wisehart’s world building and character development are head and shoulders above most of his contemporaries in the fantasy genre. I can’t think of another author who has simultaneously created a prequel series interlinked with the main series, tying the book releases together.

The plot development has me on the edge of my seat. My only disappointment comes as I finish reading each book, and have to wait for the next to be released.

Wisehart’s series have become an obsession for me. I anticipate each book’s release and read each as slowly as possible to extend the experience. The characters are complex and engaging; the “world” is unique - rich in culture.

The Street Rats series is an intentionally youthful look at this world and provides the back story for some of the characters of Aldoran, which is a deviously constructed story that defeats my ability to predict outcomes. – 5 Stars!

They are filled with great characters that he describes so well you can picture them standing in front of you. And the maps in the books are so detailed is easy to follow where the characters are.

I’m not a big reader and I never have been able to find a book I really enjoy; then along came The Aldoran Chronicles. I bought all four books including the prequel and I can’t put it down. Amazing pure amazing epic adult fantasy adventure series ever!

It is really rare to come across a book that captures your heart and makes you crave the next page; let alone finding a whole series! Or 2! I haven’t been addicted since J.R.R. Tolkein’s masterpieces or Mary Stewart’s Arthurian saga- and Michael Wisehart has done it!

I stumbled upon Michael Wiseharts’ novels a little while ago and took a chance on a ‘new to me’ author to explore a genre I don’t usually seek out.

I have thoroughly enjoyed his fast paced stories full of interesting characters who grow and develop along with the story line. Somehow I seem to have managed to read all of his novels and look forwards to more in the future.

One of the best fantasy writers i have come across, story calibre the likes of Eddings and Goodkind.  Full of adventure, daring, danger and fun!  His character development as each book progresses is fantastic, and the stories tie together beautifully.

I am anxiously awaiting the next book!  He always leaves us eager for more.

Michael Wiseheart draws a word picture as he tells the story of his characters. First individually and then with each book they join together. Just as the pieces of a puzzle join,  the reader gets a broader understanding of the character and how they fit into the story line.

I’ve cried, I’ve laughed and even wanted to draw a sword to fight with them. I can’t wait until the next book is available!

Michael has successfully crafted a wonderful epic fantasy world. Each main character receives cherished coverage so that we retain the feelings of continuity binding all the disparate actions taking place simultaneously in different locations. This may seem an unimportant distinction, but with a story as rich and complex as Mr. Wisehart’s, it is satisfying that the characters continue to drive the narrative rather than the other way around. Constant surprises make perfect reading. Unequivically recommended!

A quick review of the Street Rats series can be summed up in one word, phenomenal! At the end of each book, I couldn’t wait for the next book to come. I loved both “The Aldoran Chronicles” and the “Street Rats of Aramoor” by Michael Wisehart. I have been reading his books since 2016, when they first come out. They should be required reading for all fantasy enthusiasts. Michael has artfully built an absorbing cast of characters with an assortment of magical talents which blend well with each other. Both series have lots of action and adventure. Battle scenes appear to jump into your mind’s eye.
